Are economic policies effective, and why? How should development strategies be designed? Do institutions matter for the economic returns of investments? Do economic policies influence voting behaviour? These are some of the questions I try to answer with my research. My main interests and expertise lie in public policy analysis, economic geography, political economy.

I am a  Research Fellow and 'Foscolo Europe' grant holder in the Department of Economics of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. I am part of the research team of the Venice centre in Economic and Risk Analytics for public policies (VERA), and a Lecturer in the Economics Department.

 

I am also an Affiliate Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Geography & Environment of the London School of Economics (LSE). My research contributes to the European Research Council project on Multinationals, Innovation and Institutions in Europe (MASSIVE). I am a Lecturer in the LSE Department of Geography & Environment.
